This course introduces students to the nobility, nature, and scope of the teaching profession. It explores the historical, legal, and ethical foundations of education in the Philippines, highlighting the roles, responsibilities, and professional standards expected of teachers. Emphasis is given to the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers, and the teacher’s contribution to nation-building. Through reflective activities and discussions, students develop an appreciation of teaching as a vocation and a lifelong commitment to learning and service.
