MODERN PHYSICS AND FUNDAMENTALS OF QUANTUM MECHANICS - BSCIEPHY-AG 3-BSCIEPHY-AG-III-1 2S-PHY08 - M/T/TH/F 02:00PM-04:00PM/02:00PM-04:00PM/02:00PM-04:00PM/02:00PM-04:00PM
This 3-unit lecture-based course deals with the
basic concepts and principles of special and general relativity, wave particle
duality of light and electrons, and introduction to quantum mechanics where the
students are able to link present and future developments in physics and
engineering fields.

INTRODUCTORY CLASSICAL MECHANICS - BSCIEPHY-AG 3-BSCIEPHY-AG-III-1 2S-PHY02 - M/T/TH/F 12:00PM-02:00PM/12:00PM-02:00PM/12:00PM-02:00PM/12:00PM-02:00PM
This lecture-based introductory course on the
fundamental laws and principle of classical mechanics. It focuses on the
Newtonian approach which utilizes the concepts and principles of force,
concentrating on energy, in the attempt to fully understand the course. However, as a requisite course to
Quantum Mechanics, the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian approach which concentrates
on energy is also presented as a tool in the study of this course. Higher
mathematical knowledge and skills such as calculus and vector calculus will be
presented to thoroughly and exactly describe the concepts and principles.
