This 4-unit lecture and laboratory course deals
with the study Thermal physics, combined study of thermodynamics, statistical
mechanics and kinetic theory. This umbrella-subject is typically designed to
provide a general introduction to each of three core heat-related subjects.
Students enrolled in this course demonstrate understanding on concepts and
application of the kinetic theory of matter, the laws of thermodynamics, with
an in-depth discussion of mathematical representations of the fundamental ideas
and models of statistical mechanics.
